ZENMED Skin Eraser Kit Reviews - Does It Work?
Posted on 07 December 2016
There are numerous ingredients that when included in skin care products, produce wonderful effects.
Glycolic acid and lactic acids are members of the alpha hydroxy family, and are gaining attention for their rejuvenating abilities.
Glycolic acid is derived from cane sure, and is especially popular because it breaks down dead skin cells on the skin’s surface, sloughing away dullness so skin appears brighter and more radiant.
Glycolic acid also helps unblock pores, making it an effective acne treatment, and because it lifts away surface cells, it also boosts cell turnover, which reduces the look of fine lines and wrinkles and helps lighten dark spots and acne scars, so skin looks more radiant and even toned.
Lactic acid, derived from milk, not only helps exfoliate surface cells, but also works to moisturize new cells while working to erase the years of damage caused by exposure to environmental toxins and the sun, revealing lighter, brighter skin.
Ascorbic acid, a form of vitamin C, is also a skincare powerhouse because it strengthens skin’s barrier layer, keeping environmental toxins out, while sloughing away surface cells and slowing melanin production to lighten dark spots.
This trio of acids is including in ZENMED’s Skin Eraser, which in the kit is paired with ZENMED’s Renewing Microdermabrasion Complex, which also focuses on sloughing off surface cells, but includes some skin-friendly soothers such as chamomile, rosemary and comfrey, which naturally ease inflammation.
It is formulated to target acne, acne scars, dark spots and hyperpigmentation, sun damage and fine lines and wrinkles.
Is ZENMED Skin Eraser Kit Safe?
The ZENMED Skin Eraser Kit includes a liquid peel containing a mix of glycolic, ascorbic and lactic acids as well as an exfoliator that includes clay to absorb toxins and ground walnut shells to amplify the kit’s ability to slough off dead skin cells on the surface, revealing healthier skin.
Exfoliation is effective because skin texture improves, clogged pores and breakouts are reduced, collagen production is enhanced, skin tone becomes more even and moisturizing ingredients will be more effective because they won’t have to penetrate dead surface cells to reach the new cells beneath.
But how much is too much?
While this triple dose of acids teamed with an exfoliator would seem to speed away dead surface cells in a way that rivals dermatological treatments, the combination can be drying, and with surface cells removed, skin becomes more vulnerable to sun damage.
Does ZENMED Skin Eraser Kit Work?
The reviews are mixed when it comes to ZENMED’s Skin Eraser Kit.
The makers of the ZENMED Skin Eraser Kit recommend using it for five days in a row, using first the exfoliator followed by the Skin Eraser, then skipping five days, then using it three to four times a week.
Because it is not a product designed for daily use, the drying effects won’t be as noticeable, but there are some other problems with the product.
Although ZENMED Skin Eraser is formulated to treat scars, it does not contain silicone, which helps trap in moisture to soften scars while ensuring that active ingredients go to work where they’re needed, positively impacting skin. Check the official website to find coupons.
ZENMED Skin Eraser Kit Reviews
On the ZENMED website, the product combo earned 4.5 out of 5 stars from verified buyers, while on Amazon, only 64 percent gave ZENMED Skin Eraser Kit a 4- or 5-star rating, and 36 percent gave the kit only 1 star.
Most of the negative reviews were related to dry skin or unsatisfactory results, both of which don’t come as a surprise given the potential irritation that could result from the combination of acids or the lack of silicone, which allows active ingredients to dissipate before reaching skin cells.
ZENMED does include before and after photographs on its website along with reviews, so you can decide if the product is worth the investment.
ZENMED Skin Eraser Kit is $70 for a single kit, but there is a 5 percent discount on the company’s website for first-time orders, and the company is currently offering a 50 percent discount for its scar treatment line.
The two-part kit has been available at Amazon.com, but is currently out of stock, and Amazon isn’t sure if the product will be restocked or not.
